A Day in the Life

I did not grow up a Christian, so I did not have the faith modeled for me. I share the following as an attempt to “model” for you from afar. I think it could have helped me when I was young in the faith, maybe it will help you.

0600: Wake up, drink a bunch of water.
0610: Pray through a prayer in the Valley of Vision.
0620: Start my (and Bennett’s) oatmeal; start exercise routine.
0630: Eat oatmeal while reading Bible between exercise sets; let the chickens out of the coop.
0645: Finish exercising and make three eggs, over easy.
0700: Get ready for work.
0740: Lord willing, make it downstairs to start working. Tuesdays: take a child to breakfast.
0830: Get ready to start my first class.
0840: Start teaching first class.
1010: End first class; eat dairy-free yogurt, granola, and honey.
1020: Start second class.
1150: End second class; eat leftovers for lunch.
1200: Start final class.
1330: End final class; start tutoring clients; finish eating lunch.
1700: End tutoring clients; respond to emails and messages.
1715: Head upstairs for dinner; eat dinner.
1745: Finish dinner; do dishes; kids clean up their books and toys.
1800: Family worship.
1820: Finish family worship; decide from a number of options:

  1. Visit with the guests we have over.
  2. Read to the children.
  3. Play a game with the children.
  4. Do chores that need to be done.
  5. Finish a house project.
  6. Clean/tidy the house.
  7. Other miscellaneous items I’m forgetting.

2000: Put chickens in the coop.
2030: Kids to bed; pray for them; start evening devotions (pray a Psalm, read a chapter from New Testament, read a chapter of Proverbs)
2100: Time with the wife; read a book of my choice before falling asleep.
2200: Asleep, hopefully until the morning.

      1. Mental math, no doubt. I don’t have chickens (foxes are really bad around here, tried to have them once), a job, a wife, or children, but I can respect the attention towards schedule. 😀

Have an wonderful Easter break, Mr. Klunick!
