Introduction

You are probably reading this because you were a student of mine. You recently heard from some random person named after a king of Judah that I now have a blog. I wanted to take a few minutes to explain the project I’m undergoing here.

I’ve had to learn the hard way all my life. My dad thinks it’s because we’re Polish. I’m sure he’s right, though it may be just a guy thing. We learn best from messing it up a few times, right guys? Since I’ve had to learn things through failure, I thought I may be able to save my students the trouble.

So, here’s the plan: explain things I’ve learned the hard way in only a few paragraphs. Bite-sized chunks that a 7th or 8th grader can understand. These things will be farther (further?) reaching than 7th or 8th grade – we’re talking lifelong stuff: spiritual disciplines, exercise and nutrition, run-on sentences, etc. I’ll eventually hit on everything under the sun; I assure you.

Eventually, I’ll run out of things to write about under this topic. Lord willing, by that point, students can give me ideas of what to write about. I’m a fairly well-adjusted adult, so I know what you NEED to hear, but I’ll eventually want to know what you WANT to hear.

I’ll try to keep my thoughts to 5 paragraphs. It won’t take long to read. It’s free knowledge! Well, it will cost you a few minutes of time… To get updates when there’s a new post, find out how to subscribe. I’m sure there’s a button somewhere around here. Can’t wait!
